Wishbones

Well, more wishbone fun. We’re using an assortment of wishbones that we have around the shop to get the geometry of the suspension right where we want it. Spacing and shimming and spacing and shimming…

Once the static geometry is at its ideal position, and the travel of the wheels under bump and rebound makes a sexy motion; we can finalise the drawings for our wishbones and fab them up!

I can’t wait…

SUSPENSION – CENTRE LOCKS

We decided to develop our own centre-lock design to secure the wheels in place with a single nut to FIA specification.  These have a locking system which is deactivated automatically by the air-gun on removal and cannot come off accidentally.  We designed them to run with any kind of normal 4 bolt Lotus wheel using a conversion cup.  They use an FIA size centre-lock nut.
